Robert has over 30 years of real estate experience. Prior to founding Lancaro, Robert helped Dollarama (TSX: DOL), Canada’s largest value retailer, develop the 10-year growth strategy for its store network and advised the company on the people, processes, and tools to execute the strategy.
Before this, Robert spent 17 years at Canadian Tire Corporation (TSX: CTC.A) where he was President of Canadian Tire Real Estate Limited from 2013 to 2019. He was accountable for the acquisition, development, design, construction, and management of the company’s 60 million square foot real estate portfolio. The portfolio included 1,800 retail, industrial and office locations across Canada and in the United States and Europe. Robert was instrumental in the $3.5B initial public offering of CT REIT (TSX: CRT.UN) as well as several acquisitions including Calgary-based Forzani Group and Oslo-based Helly Hansen.
Before joining Canadian Tire, Robert was Director of Real Estate at Provigo Inc. and Loblaw Companies Limited (TSX: L). Robert was admitted to the Bar in 1989 and practiced commercial and real estate law, first at Paradis & Associates and later as Senior Counsel, Real Estate at Provigo Inc.
Since 2018, Robert has been serving on the Board of Equiton Real Estate Income and Development Fund Trust (EREID) as an independent trustee. Previously, Robert served on the Board of CTC KDL Fuelco GP Inc. (2014 to 2019), which operates the ONroute service centers along Ontario’s 400 series highways.

Kay has 25 years of financial leadership experience including 11 years of public company board experience. Kay’s career spanned several industries in the United States and Canada, including CFO roles in real estate, retail, and healthcare. From 2014 to 2021, she was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of First Capital REIT (TSX: FCR.UN), a leading owner, operator and developer of grocery anchored and mixed-use real estate. In this role, Kay led public company reporting, investor relations, treasury, analytics, tax, risk management, and information technology. She oversaw the financial strategy of the company including sourcing of all debt and equity, raising over $4.0 billion of capital during her tenure. Prior to joining First Capital, Kay held progressively more senior roles at Indigo Books (TSX: IDG), including EVP and CFO. Before Indigo, Kay was CFO and Vice President of Regional Operations at Medical Consultants Network, a Seattle-based medical judgment service provider.
In addition to chairing Lancaro’s Board of Directors, Kay serves on the Board of Allied Properties REIT (TSX: AP.UN), and as Audit Committee Chair of RATESDOTCA Group Ltd., a fintech company majority owned by Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan. Kay also serves on the CFO Advisory Board of the Rotman School of Management’s Leadership in Finance Program.
Kay is a Certified Public Accountant (Washington) and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, Suma Cum Laude, from the University of Minnesota as well as a Master of Business Administration, with Honors, from the University of Washington. Kay was recognized in 2019 as one of Toronto’s Power Women in Commercial Real Estate.

Ryan joined Lancaro in 2022 as the Director of Business Development. He is responsible for identifying and developing target market opportunities, tracking emerging trends, developing strategic partnerships, maintaining communication with investors, tenants and other stakeholders, and navigating current and new projects through various stages of development. Ryan brings unique ideas and an innate ability to problem solve, generating creative solutions to complicated issues.
Ryan has over 14 years of experience in valuations and the sale and leasing of residential and commercial real estate. Ryan received his real estate license in 2008 while attending the Northern Institute of Alberta for Business Administration. In 2013, he obtained his Broker’s license, and he heads Coldwell Banker Lifestyle, a brokerage firm that generates over $83M in annual sales volume.
Since 2013, Ryan has been a Director of the Cold Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce and in 2019 he became the President.
